I will use lock pick tools where possible to gain entry, and will only resort to destructive entry when I have exhausted all other methods, even with destructive methods the risk to damage of the door is very limited, but I will always fully explain what I am doing, and advise on what could possibly happen, and you will always have the last word in what process is followed.
